Description
Two weeks to see the whole country, not just its famous skyline. The trip begins in the green Fergana Valley, the land of silk and ceramics: the khan's palace in Kokand, a potter's workshop in Rishtan and the looms of Margilan. Then it flies west to Khiva and follows the Silk Road back east through Bukhara, a night in a desert yurt camp and Samarkand.
With two days in Bukhara and three in and around Samarkand, the pace leaves time to stop, shop and sit in a tea house.
Not included: international flights, lunches and dinners (except at the yurt camp), travel insurance, camera fees at some monuments, tips and personal expenses.
