Our story

UZORA Travel is based in Samarkand, Uzbekistan, with our office at the Jahongir Premium Hotel on Chirokchi Street. Our story began in 2009, when we opened Jahongir B&B, a small guesthouse that has since become one of the top places to stay in Samarkand. As we gained valuable experience over the years, the wish to serve a larger group of travellers led us to open a separate tour department.

Relying on well-established connections, we work with trusted, professional drivers and guides in all parts of Uzbekistan to give our guests outstanding service.

Today we organise private day trips, multi-day journeys, tailor-made itineraries and transfers across the Silk Road: from the tiled squares of Samarkand, Bukhara and Khiva to the villages of the Nuratau Mountains, yurt camps by Aydarkul Lake and the Seven Lakes of Tajikistan. The hospitality we learned as hosts is still at the heart of every trip.

What we organise

Everything you need for a trip through Uzbekistan, arranged by one local team.

Why travel with us

Local, not a middleman

We live and work in Samarkand. Plans are made by people who know the roads, the seasons and the sights first-hand.

Trusted guides and drivers

Years of hosting guests gave us a network of professional drivers and guides we know and rely on, all over Uzbekistan.

Private and flexible

Every tour is private. Start times, pace and stops can be adjusted to you, and we are happy to change the plan on the way.

Clear prices, no prepayment

Prices are listed per person by group size. Send a request, we confirm availability, and you pay only once your trip is confirmed.
